The Design Burger Award

The debut launch of the first Design Burger Award will commence at New Designers this July.

Our trophy for the award is a one-of-one piece, designed by us, and manufactured with the team at Cloud NC. We worked closely with their workshop engineers and machinists to take it through Design For Manufacture using their CAM Assist AI, which generates complex toolpaths in just 20 minutes, instead of hours of manual programming.

The finished trophy will be presented at New Designers on 11th July.

As prize partners for the 40th anniversary edition of New Designers, we’re looking for an industrial design project that stands out for its clarity, quality and thoughtfulness. The winning project should show strong visualisation and prototyping skills, a well-documented process, and a clear, considered story behind the design. We’re looking for work that feels relevant, well-resolved, and leaves a lasting impression.
