Industrial Design Object Pack

At Design Burger, we’ve always believed that the best design tools come from listening to the people who use them every day. Earlier this year, we asked the industrial design community what kind of underlays and assets would help speed up their sketching process, and the responses were brilliant.

With lots of comments and suggestions, one theme was clear: designers wanted an easy way to jump into sketching layouts, underlays to iterate over, and the opportunity to drag and play with proportions, without redrawing the basics every time.

So, we teamed up with Concepts App, the vector-based sketching app trusted by designers, to turn that feedback into reality. The result is the Industrial Design Sketching Kit, an Object Pack designed specifically for industrial designers.

What’s Inside

This custom Object Pack includes a carefully curated set of scalable vector underlays and assets to streamline your workflow:

• 3 layout wireframes
• 4 basic chair designs in multiple views
• 11 everyday-use products
• 5 hand underlays in different interaction positions

Every object in the pack is fully vector-based, meaning you can scale, edit, recolour, and layer them without losing quality.

A Community-Driven Collaboration

This pack is the result of genuine collaboration, your feedback shaped what went into the kit, from the hand positions to the everyday objects you rely on as underlays.

To showcase the pack in action, we teamed up with California-based industrial designer Patrick Christian (@sketchypat) who used the pack to create a backpack design in a new demo video, showing how these assets can be layered and adapted.

How to Get It

The Industrial Design Sketching Kit is compatible with iOS, Windows, Android and ChromeOS and is available now in Concepts App which is available in your favourite App Store.

Simply open the app, tap Objects → Design Burger Underlays, and start creating.
