Design Dialogues San Francisco

We returned to San Francisco to host our Design Dialogues exhibition at Box Clever, this time as part of San Francisco Design Week. For one night only, we opened the doors to showcase Series 2 of our illustrated interview series, a collection of hand-sketched, thought-provoking questions answered by some of the most celebrated names in industrial design.

The line-up featured an exceptional group of contributors:
Arielle Assouline-Lichten, Luca Nichetto, Simone Brewster, David Caon, Norman Teague, Benjamin Hubert, Panter&Tourron and John Tree each offering a rare and candid insight into their creative thinking.

We were also delighted to debut a new set of Design Dialogues responses from the Box Clever team themselves, who brought fresh perspectives.

Running in parallel to the exhibition was a Designers Meet-Up, a lively evening of conversation, reconnection, and new encounters with friends from across the industry. A standout moment of the night was a panel discussion titled ‘Design Impact. Reimagined’, hosted by Box Clever founder Brett Recor and their Chief Creative Officer, Dickon Isaacs. The two explored the mission and ethos behind their Box Garden Ventures, an initiative aimed at co-designing scalable, mission-driven businesses that make a positive impact in their respective industries.

The talk also opened up to the audience, sparking discussion around topics including the role of AI in design, learning through failure, and advice for the next generation of creatives.

Beyond the ideas and interaction, the evening also had a purpose: raising money to support the next generation of designers. Through a raffle featuring generous contributions from our sponsors, we raised $750 USD, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Advanced Design, California College of the Arts (CCA), and IDSA.
