The Product Design 100 book

We’re excited to introduce The Product Design 100, the debut book from Design Burger.

An image-led exploration of some of the world’s most compelling contemporary industrial design projects, the book brings together one hundred products across 324 pages, offering a broad snapshot of product design today.

From furniture and lighting to technology, tools, objects and everything in between, the selection brings together work from established designers, emerging studios, independent practitioners and leading brands. Rather than focusing on a single aesthetic or discipline, The Product Design 100 reflects the breadth of product design and the different ways designers are responding to the world around them.

Each product is presented through bold imagery and concise editorial context, with a series of standalone essays offering further perspectives on the industry and the role of product design within it.

Contributors include Marc Newson, Naoto Fukasawa, Virgil Abloh, alongside projects from Alessi, Google, Nike, and Rimowa.

The book is the first volume in what we hope will become an ongoing record of contemporary product design, documenting the objects, ideas and people shaping the discipline at a particular moment in time.

Industrial design shapes how we live, work and interact with the world. The Product Design 100 is an opportunity to slow things down: to bring a considered selection of contemporary work together in a physical format, and create something that can be returned to, shared and kept.
